Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs)

Student Affairs

All the student related activities can be held, organized or initiated inside or outside the university campus with the prior approval of the competent authority by adopting the following procedure.

Procedure for Student Activities

  • The invitation or information regarding participation or organization of events and competitions received by the Director Student Affairs will be forwarded to the Incharge of the concerned society.
  • The society will prepare the students for the respective event or competition within the given time and inform the Director Student Affairs.
  • The Director Student Affairs will forward the details of students, teams or faculty members participating in an event or competition to the Vice Chancellor Office for approval or proceed according to the policy of the competent authority.
  • No individual may invite or interact with any individual, organization, association or agency for student activities without prior approval of the Director Student Affairs and the competent authority.
  • No banner may be displayed and no stall may be installed inside the university campus without prior approval of the Director Student Affairs and the competent authority.
  • To organize departmental, inter-departmental or society events and competitions, an application duly signed by the Chairperson of the concerned department or Incharge of the society shall be submitted to the Director Student Affairs for approval.
  • Details of students charged with misconduct or violation of university rules shall be forwarded to the Director Student Affairs for further action by the University Disciplinary Committee.

University Code of Conduct

The University's expectations for student conduct are grounded in the University Code of Conduct:

"The core values of The Government Sadiq College Women University are learning, discovery, freedom, leadership, individual opportunity, and responsibility. Each member of the University is expected to uphold these values through integrity, honesty, trust, fairness, and respect toward peers and the community."

Conduct Expected of Students

  • Follow all applicable local, provincial and federal laws and avoid any violation whether on or off campus.
  • Respect fellow students, university employees, faculty members and campus visitors.
  • Assist the University authorities in preventing the use, possession or sale of illegal drugs, narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
  • Promote a peaceful campus environment by avoiding any verbal, written or electronic communication that encourages unlawful activity.
  • Help maintain a harassment-free environment by discouraging all forms of harassment and respecting the rights of others.
  • Protect University property and avoid unauthorized use of keys, equipment, buildings, facilities and other resources.
  • Use University information technology resources responsibly and refrain from illegal or destructive activities, including security violations, copyright infringement, unsolicited emails, password sharing and misuse for personal financial gain.
  • Respect the privacy of students, faculty and staff by avoiding unauthorized recording, surveillance or distribution of private information.
  • Identify yourself to an authorized University representative whenever requested.
  • Observe all University rules and regulations and do not assist anyone in violating them.
  • Remain on campus only according to the official timetable and schedule of your department or discipline.
